I’m one of those with the ability to transform caffeine into code, but not just caffeine nor code. It all started when my dad came home with a Texas Instruments computer, probably a TI-99/4, back in the early 80’s, and my first efforts in programming BASIC. My curiosity and willingness to step into unknown territories have since led me to a degree in plasma dynamics and a great number of cutting edge and joyful projects over the last 20 years.
My current favorites include:
- C# – Working on the back-end of an application for energy management, I’m getting my hands dirty by coding, and loving it! It’s not just C#, but everything that can been done with ASP.Net Core and the components that seem to upper the quality bar for each iteration.
- While in the Microsoft stack, all things happening i Azure and how we get this to play with the CI/CD pipeline while exploring new services.
- Transforming data into knowledge – has always been a passion. Together with the previous points, this almost makes me sentimental for the beauty we can make. Topping it off with some adventures in F# and it really makes my day!
- Concepts of quality – from looking at customers’ requirements, to curating team efforts and making sure that system conditions are met. Never stop iterating and refining, incrementally adjusting to an ever changing world.
- Work-life balance – spending time with family, seeing my daughter grow up, and hopefully more often – take my bike for a spin as this makes up for both exercise and therapy in the wonderful scenery of Southern Norway.
I still don’t like:
- Pie charts š
